Inter-agency Expert Group on SDG Indicators (IAEG-SDGs)

 

On 6 March 2015, the United Nations Statistical Commission created an Inter-agency and Expert Group on SDG Indicators (IAEG-SDGs), composed of Member States and including regional and international agencies as observers. The IAEG-SDGs will provide a proposal of a global indicator framework (and associated global and universal indicators) for consideration by the Statistical Commission at its forty-seventh session in March 2016.

The IAEG-SDGs has been tasked to develop an indicator framework for the goals and targets of the post-2015 development agenda at the global level, and to support its implementation.

High-level Group for Partnership, Coordination, and Capacity-Building for post-2015 monitoring

 

On 6 March 2015, the United Nations Statistical Commission created a High-level Group for Partnership, Coordination and Capacity-Building for post-2015 monitoring (HLG), composed of Member States and including regional and international agencies as observers. The HLG aims to establish a global partnership for sustainable development data. The HLG will report annually to the Statistical Commission.

The HLG and has been tasked to provide strategic leadership for the sustainable development goal implementation process as it concerns statistical monitoring and reporting.
