Financing for Development is a process of the United Nations (UN), which emerged as an initiative of the countries of the Global South to follow up the summits of the 90, in order to discuss the global financial architecture that is adopt urgent and necessary, to respond to different situations and needs that the people in terms of quality of life, human rights and care for the planet faced. An architecture that ensures present and future of peace and sustainability.
In the preparatory process for the Third International Conference on Financing for Desarrrollo (FpD3) to be held in Addis Ababa (Ethiopia) from 13 to July 16, 2015, there has been little presence and participation of the Latin America and Caribbean (LAC ), and most of the systematic and historically excluded and impoverished sectors such as: childhoods, women, indigenous peoples, Afro-descendants, youth, communities and territories, elderly, people with physical challenges and special skills and LGTBi. This process of Regional Consultation on FpD3, seeks to lift and enhance these other voices and articulate proposals and solutions in a consensus document that is brought to the discussion in Addis Ababa conference as a contribution in the LAC region.
The importance of the process of Financing for Development, is its institutional residence within the United Nations and having the opportunity for the "developing countries" have the possibility of influencing intergovernmental agreements on the subject, as full members the UN General Assembly, so it is important the role of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and social movements in lobbying government administrations to ensure that these take favorable positions to the people in the eradication of inequalities , vulnerabilities and inequities in all areas and levels and raise issues of gender and climate change as key factors in the negotiations, with effective citizen participation in the implementation of the agreements.
The results of this international conference that go far beyond 2030, marked and will impact significantly on the Post 2015 Climate Agenda and Agenda, both processes definition phase during 2015.
